5x120 on polo 9n2 fitment

Post by monk »

Has anyone tried fitting 5x120 wheels on the polo ?
I want to buy a pair of BBS RC040 ET41 on 17'', but i don't know if im going to be able to fit them. I was considering re-drilling them but i'm not sure if it would be the correct decision since the car is driven "to the limit" from time to time and I don't want to end up in some random tree :D

The other option would be some adapters, since i will definitely need spacers (the wheels are 17x7.5 ET 41 - made for BMW). Probably the ET will have to be around 35-30.

Does anyone know where i could get the adapters ? or should i go for the redrill :)

If refilling is an option then there should be no issues with the strength as there are plenty of cars around with redrilled wheels.

Im thinking you would have to have a minimum of 15mm for adapters so end result would be ET26 so there would be poke and possible rubbing issues

quality re-drill is 100% safe

It will be quite a challenge to re-drill BMW wheels to 5x100 beacuse of the CB size

you can get even 15mm adaptors; thinner then that is a hazard
