Re: My Polo 6N2 1.4
thanks for the help mate, heres some pics

the day i bought it. drove it up to a local diss-used quarry

tried some TSW 15" wheels on it, looks ok but need to lower it badly, coilovers to come soon

fitting new headlights, and got 4 New tyres on the wheels, 195/50/15

looks fresh, got new numberplates made by my mate that works in a volvo garage

de-badged the back, and polished it, cant see no fade in the paint atall

got insurance on it a few days later, lost my card so had to wait till the card came through, ive also got my 125 bike that i use daily to get to work and back, on the way to the bank the back wheel bearing collapsed, not happy. so thats bin a few days to fix, ordering new bearings and new axle and spacers.

my bike on breeze blocks while i wait for parts. annoying getting the bus to work :/

1 week and 1,000 miles later, up a track in nantlle its a quarry with a shaft thats 700m deep, it was ok on this suspension but its a no go when i lower it.
BAD NEWS
after driving back home from getting petrol one night i was finding it hard to select 4th gear, i struggled to change to 5th too, i was like OMG Gearbox was f****d but i was thinking it could be the clutch, i got home and it started to whine abit, i thought then it must be the gearbox, i asked my big brother whos a mechanic ( well heavy goods mechanic), so the next day he brought home some tools from his work, he told me to take the gearbox off the car, so i had 3 days off work, perfect timing, he told me that i could learn alot and plus its your first car, strip it down find how it works, i like bikes and have had alot of them i tinker, worked as a bike mechanic for nearly a year in the local suzuki, yamaha dealer. i got laid off, then went back to college... back to the car lol

Gearbox out, wasnt too bad, brother was quite impressed lol, lots of bruises on my arms where i was wiggling the gearbox off,
looked at the clutch and it was ok,
soo thats where im up to now, my brother nick has taken it to work to have a look at it, if its broke then hes sending it away to get re-furbished, id rather spend abit more money and get a nearly new one, and not risk getting a second hand one and finding out its f****d too...
