1.9 D help

Hi all i have a 98 R reg 1.9 D polo its got 88,000 so not alot of milage but i would like to stick a turbo on it just wansering if anyone had any info on this whether its a case of a straght bolt on job ( manifolds etc) or whether i will need any ecu changes stuf like that
