central locking problems

Post by kc »

hi guys, any of you guys ever had this problem or heard of it??

hard one to explain this one... but my passenger door keeps unlocking itself at certain times...

i have auto lock enable via vagcom... so doors lock at 12mph... but the passenger door unlocks itself?? this is even if youve pressed the fob once to unlock only the drivers!

also!!.....

unlocking - press once, drivers opens (normal) press twice all locks open (again normal) ..... on mine... press once... drivers and passenger unlocks! press twice and its normal!??

locking - on the fob if you click it once, its ok...
if you click it twice - as in to enable the dead locks, the drivers locks, the boot locks, but the passenger door unlocks itself?!?!

HEEEELPpppppppppppppppppppppp!! its getting riiiiiiight on my t**s!

It sounds like a faulty door lock module. My dad's 2005 passat has the same problem where one of the rear door lock unlocks itself
once the internal lock is activated. I must say the door lock module are expensive dude from what I have heard they are about
£100 upwards :(. Apparently the soldier on the lock modules break and hence the malfunction. I was able to get the error up
on the vagcom.

N.B: How did you enable the auto locks? Any sort of tutorial please?
