What width are your wheels?
I'm looking at getting a new set of wheels, it's looking costly so I wanna cut costs however I can.
The colour I want only come in 17x9 so instead I was gonna get 16x7 but then I'd have to get them powder coated + I do fancy some 17s.
What widths are people running on here? Would 9J be a feasible width to run on a 6r or would the poke just be ridiculous?

Re: What width are your wheels?
most ppl are running 7J, that makes it sit flush mate
this is my 7.5j with 20mm adapters so really it sits like 8.2j wheels hehe

ad say if ya wanna sit it flush get 7j but if ya want some poke get a bit wider

Let me know how it sits! I want these wheels so bad but I think 9J might be pushing it a bit too much, especially as the PCD is different so I'll have to sit it on adapters toomashmarriner wrote:got 30mm adapters in the post on way to go on back

Re: What width are your wheels?
it'd be years before I could afford all that haha, think I'm just gonna go for the 16x7 and get them powder coated although the extra inch and poke is tempting...mashmarriner wrote:fukc that will have some poke like,

Only cause of my Dad! I'm still a student and only work part time so my income is only £180-£220 a month at the minute! It's my 18th next month though so hopefully i'll get a bit of cash and I'll be able to work more hours when my exams are overmashmarriner wrote:you got a brand new vw man, u can afford itjamesagordon wrote:it'd be years before I could afford all that haha, think I'm just gonna go for the 16x7 and get them powder coated although the extra inch and poke is tempting...mashmarriner wrote:fukc that will have some poke like,

Re: What width are your wheels?
Dropped the wheel manufacturer an email, asked if I could get a custom set with 17x8 rears and 16x7 on the front - nice bit of poke & rake

The 16s are £400 new and the 17s £500 but then I obviously have adapters and re spray (if i got the 16s) on top of that. If I can get custom hopefully they can match my PCD and colour so I'll save cash there - plus a staggered set would look beaut
