Which dump valve...?

Post by Mr Blobby »

Sorry to do this to you all who know your stuff, but I'm looking to buy a dump valve but don't know what one to get... the 007, 008 or splitter?

I like the idea of the splitter because it dumps partially to atmosphere, but i don't know what any of them are like, so if you could tell me the pro's and con's that'd be great!

Thanks!!

This one might help you!

I use the 008 rock solid with yellow spring revo stage.

Did have the 007 also worked fine.

Ah man :( the splitter sounded a good idea. What's wrong with it?
Can you hear any noise from the 008?

Damn, I really wanted one of them...
Which leads onto another question aha, is a cone filter any good as it will just be sucking in hot air. Wouldn't a pd160 upgrade and a good panel filter be better as its colder air?

Splitter are pain in the arse to set up, there doesn't seem to be enough spring tension for stage 2, would hiss when I was on boost felt like it was loosing slight power but that's only my view other ppl might like it :-)

Oh and my standard setup was pd160, forge tip and a piper cross panel filter. When tt shop gave me my stage 2 map they said the only thing holding my car bk was the breathing side the reckoned that if I got a cone filter setup it would release more power so I bought a kn57 I kit and noticed a massive difference well worth it and sounds awesome on boost

I see :) I'll look into that then. So the 57i is just a cone filter with no cold air feed? I've not seen them before...

Can't you buy new updated springs for the splitter then?
What were you adjusting that was hard to do?
