Maybe I'm being thick, but isnt the whole point of DRLs that they should be on all the time?

The headlights are the drls usually but the LEDs replace them as drls and so the headlights shouldn't be on, well that's my understanding anyway.

I have the DRL's incorporated with the xenons on my GTI. The LED's are lit to maximum brightness when you turn on the ignition, no headlights are lit. Then when you put the sidelights on or headlights the LED's go to half brightness but they remain on. In conclusion the LED's are always lit to some degree whether or not the other lights are on. Would have thought they could get the retrofit to do the same.

Any update on the DRLs? Did they manage to resolve and de-activate the dipped beams?

I'm looking to get them installed - Overall are you happy with them?

They've quoted my £537 for parts & fitting which seems a bit steep so i might have to have a chat with them about that lol!

I think I'll clarify beforehand that the dipped beams will be de-activated.

Mmmh im not sure they look somewhat an after thought which they are. They would of looked better if it had been incorperated into the lower fog light housing.

Each to their own and if you like them that's what matters at the end of the day

Hi guys, I found this on youtube, this is the correct operation for official VW LED DRL'S

This guy ordered the parts and fitted them himself, he didnt recode anything and they operate perfectly ?
