Clutch Problem

Post by kenny.l »

Hi Guys,
i was wondering if you could help me because my car has been off the road for over 2 weeks. The problem is a bracket behind the clutch pedal has broken and my Vw dealer said the part has to come from Germany cos no dealer has it in britain but they said it could take weeks.the bracket is called "Brake and clutch pedals cluster" the part number is 6n2 721 115 B.I have a polo 1995 an its a 1.0. If anybody can help it will be great.even if its a second hand one.

Cheers Kenny

WTF? That's the dealer trying to screw you over mate, it'll take forever and they'll charge princely for it (like they charged me 99p for a 5p oil outlet washer, a fiver for a key i could have got cut for £1.50...) --- get to a scrapyard! They should have plenty available from any number of wrecked 9-year-old Polos...
...then off to a reputable independent small garage for the fitting.

(please tell me you're not still taking it there for oil changes at £100 a pop?)

PS yours is a 1995, but that's a 6n2 part? That'd be a couple years later down the line i think as your model number should be "6n"??
