Peeling Arms!

Post by JWC »

Ah- my arms are peeling....

Seriously though, can you take them arm things off? I was thinking of peeling the rest off and painting the surrounding bits with reflex silver.

Where the hell can you get reflex silver anyway? I think it would look nice if done just right.

if so at the bottom of the arms theres a round plastic cover flip them off and youll find 13mm nuts underneath take them off and the arm just wiggle off :D
u can buy reflex silver spray cans from a vw dealership dont know where else do them :D

if your cars still in warenty they will replace them for you
to replace them its easy

flip the center cover of the arm handle to reveal 2 big gold screws
remove the screws
along the bottom of the door card is 2 torque screws u will need a t25 torque bit (little star shape thing )
starting from the bottom pull the door card u can just get your hands in at the bottom and pull like crazy
when remove get a philips driver and unscrew the 3 or 4 screws and the handle will remove
advice
do not over tighten the screws that hold the handle to the door card or u get little bulges in your new plastic handles and they look s**t
