was hoping that ya'll could help me out or just pick your brain really...
this weekend took the car upcountry needless to say the roads were gravel so i drove that road at a speedy 20kph - which didn't help cause i still have problems
one of them being when selecting reverse gear and setting off the car would shudder as i set off (never did that before) - some guys said engine mounts could be faulty or even warped flywheel problems
anybody have this issue before??
2nd problem is i have this annoying sound - imagine if you were riding a bicycle and the wheel bearings are gone...that metal on metal screeching sound which is there on idle as well... the sound was there from the place to home (+- 200km/ 125miles) whihc i only discovered when i stopped for a rest break and i let the car idle but the oil level was fine, no smoking, water was fine - no problems that i could see with my limited knowledge as well - the sound is more on the driver side more towards the front wheel if that makes sense???
car is a polo gti 1.8t 77k on the clock and all the usual bits and bobs...
could i have damaged soemthing on that crap "road" - i know i have to have it fixed obviously, what i don't want is an expensive process of elimination scenario
in retrospect should have taken the fiancès Hyundai Getz - but then i'd only get there on the Saturday instead of the friday afternoon
