Post by Yeahhluke »

I know this has been probably covered alot already but i cant get my head around it :)

what are the benefit of the PD160?

is this the correct one?
http://www.partsworld-uk.com/products/1 ... ibiza.aspx
if not can someone link me to the right one / a cheaper one?

my car is standard at the minute but i will be getting a remap done, and exhaust etc in the future (hopefully not to distant) would it be best to do this before the remap or after?

i also want to get a panel filter at the end of the month, will it be best to do this before or after the panel filter?

im not even sure if ive expalined this correctly, as i can get my head around this but hopefully someone can help me out,
so any help will be appreciated

thanks

Yes the intake in the link is correct.

The pd160 is much more less restricted and larger in diameter as compared to the standard ones we get in the pd and gti models.
Hence, letting in more air :)

In terms of performance there is not much difference but you will notice a significant increase in throttle response. Usually people
go for pd160 and performance panel filter (same as mine).

Lots of debate if a panel filter makes any difference, PD160 makes a big difference when tuned

Its best to install it before the remap because then the tuner can map it to enhance the fact that you have the PD160 upgrade.

For your 1.6? Can't see pics if you are not signed up.

1.8T loves cold air, I dont recommend an open pod in the engine bay.
