i had a set of Nankang tyres on my last set of wheels, wasnt too pleased with them. They were more like "slicks" especially slidy when in the wet (tho it was fun sometimes! )

Either Conti or Khumo. Khumo is making a name for itself here in Euroland, they're pretty big in the States already. Still - I'd go for Conti.

(I know now why Rob says I'm a label whore.)

Auto Bild (German) said of the Khumo KH11 tyre:
Auto Bild 03/2003
tyre dimension: 205/55R16V
Note: empfehlenswert (meaning: recommended)
Remarks:
ausgewogener Reifen ohne Schwächen in sicherheitsrelevanten Bereichen, sicheres Fahrverhalten auf trockener Fahrbahn, niedriger Preis, hoher Rollwiederstand und leichte Komfortbeeinträchtigungen
Which roughly translates to:

-Balanced tyre without weaknesses when it comes to safety. Secure handling on dry, low price, high rolling resistance, small confort-compromises.

All I could find...

What about Toyo's....have you asked if they can get those for you?!?

I reckon they're some of the best especially the T1-S's !

There's no harm in asking !!

I had Falkens on all of my minis and they used to stick like glue.
good tyres in my opinion for the price.

I'm interested to see what your experience is with them, from what I've heard they're surprisingly good - but I said that already. I'd appreciate the real-world info though :)

I had Khumos on my MK4, Thought they were OK, couldn't say anything bad about them, and had been running Yokos for the previous 2 years on my Golf GTi !
