Polo Gti Air Con Problem

Hello all,

Since owning my Gti the air con has never worked, took it for a re gas yesterday, pretty sure it wouldnt be that simple and it wasnt.

The compressor doesnt kick in when I press the auto button on the climotronic, however today when I was looking into in I took a 12v supply from the battery straight too the compressor and it works fine.

Does any body know why I'm not getting 12volts to the compressor?

I have checked fuses, it could perhaps be a relay (not sure which one), something to do with the high pressure sensor maybe? (not sure where that is)

Any help would be greatly apreciated, thanks for any responses.

do you have access to vagcom?

I have a diagnostic tool I can plug in to the car which reads the faults, none of the faults showing are relevant though. Dont have access to VagCom though

you dont need vagcom for the aricon it has built in diagnostics, google it and a pdf will show you how to use it

Thanks for your help, ran the diagnostics and it came up with one error code "214 - Supply Voltage"

Any ideas what could be causing this?

You need to convert that from hex to find the actual fault code. Google will help
