Rear badge removal?

Post by jakovdub »

how do you remove the rear badge? i've took the 2 screws out that are visible on the inside of the boot, is it a case of now ripping that huge panel off or is there more to it? i'm so useless when it comes to removal stuff :P

don't just rip it out, theres a load of clips you need to pop out using a flat head, look on here as it shows you where they are - http://de-wiper.info/2011/manuel-remove ... s-polo-6r/

After that it's just a case of undoing the 3 torque screws and unplugging it and you're good to go

Im gonna put some sound deadening to the boot panel as it has a ring to it when you tap it and when it rains you can hear the ringing of the boot.

I think if you tap the top of the hatch near the central stop light you will see what i mean. Sounds tinnie so i have got some deadening that i will put behind the boot plastic panel and on the back of the plastic. As they say every little helps :D

I got it off in the end bud! :) but I do advise you USE the trim removal tools! As I scratched all the paint on the inside with a screwdriver ooooops! It's easy to take off tho :)
