New member help...

Post by JackPearce95 »

Hey guys Im Jack and have been lucky enough to get a nimbus grey 2010 polo for my first car :D (Picture Below). I know i am a spoilt little .... but really i am just looking for some advice and help as i am totally new to this aha.

I have been looking on the forums as a "guest" for quite a while and love the look of the Polo's here. I am just wondering about sizes and fitments for my car. As i said i am new to all of this but i want to learn and get some more knowledge on the car, for example wheels fitments, decent coilovers ect.. So my questions will be simple for you guys i think but if you could give me a little help that would be great. Any info would be great thank you.

Pez is right with the wheels, you don't want to go with anything above 17" as you will rub the s*** out of them!

Depends how low you want it, best thing to do is drop it first then get choosing wheels as you can the right wheel measurements, polo offset is between 35-45 anything lower then a spacer will most likely be needed to clear the brakes

Cheers for the replies and help guys. Yeah i did read somewhere on here that said any wheel size over 17 can be a right bit of trouble so i was thinking of gettin some 17's. I have been looking at the Audi Fat 5s but still unsure to be honest, i like the scirocco alloys but there 18s also i like the Boavistas, any recommendations?. Also about coilovers, i did have a feeling the ride wouldn't be great, my mate has got the new shape Punto on some cheap coilovers and the ride is not great at all. I want to go quite low i was thinking something a long these lines..
