done by the bodyshop.. you need to weld the plastic.. difficult job, wherefor you need special equipment..

yep yep that's it! :D a quick explanation of how it's done would be great! do you need to remove the lock to do this or do you fill in the circular gap on it? looks very very nice 8)

thanks!

the lock is removed. The circular gap that remains :p is then filled with a round-shaped plastic piece and this is then welded together(wherefor you need special euipment). Then you can start scraping to get the surface smooth again so you can repaint it..

sounds like a major job! would go together well with a rear badge gap filling right? :) does the handle come off so you can scrape and paint it elsewhere? and one more question: if i were to fill the rear vw badge gap like you did, is it possible to reverse in the future, say, when i am to sell my polo and put the badge back on?

if you install a motor or a mechanism that pops the door up when you press the button on the remote... can't see why not!

i know honda accord station wagons have them. the hydrolics are electric so you can actually close and open the boot door with the remote. looks cool!
for more insight: download the honda domino commercial
