Used to be on springs but went on coilovers recently and never looked back. Im not sure how much it's lowered I think around 60mm all round at the moment but loads more to go when I sort my tyres out ad stuff, I know it's 350mm from centre of hub to the Arch. Definitely invest in coilovers dude.

Looking very cool dude, fan of the low and slow movement 8) I reckon theres loads of fun to be had customising the hell out of a car like yours! When the time/money is right you can always 1.8T the beast. If i had the dollar i would grab a base model, GTI spec it, and get to JBS, theyre 2 minutes from me! Keep up the good work, lookin forward to seeing more... :D

Cheers man! :) it's taken a back seat now really as much as I love the slow I'd like some low and power too! Main focus is finishing uni this year and then getting a really decent job maybe going 1.8t polo or golf next. I still love this thing though it'll always be my baby! Onwards and upwards though there may be a few more little things to go but it's mainly gonna be how it stands now I think it takes a daily beating doing around 14000 a year and never really let me down just not sure how long it will last hopefully a bit longer :D

Very admirable attitude towards the life goals there man! wish i had your maturity! i sat round getting stoned for 10 years and watched life pass me by
Done with that now, but still nice to see so many peeps on here choosing the right path, and hopefully getting what they want from life (i.e) Badass cars! yeah! 8) Keep posting the changes, and good luck!

Damn straight sir! in actual fact, if it paid a bit more, i'd stick with what im doing now. Hammering it round a huge warehouse on an unladen order picker rocks! 8) Good choice of cars for the future there dude, coveting the idea of a 1.8T polo myself! Mind you, seen an ibiza cupra R on the trader with about 40 thou on the clock, not as pretty as a 6n2 but i bet it shifts! 8)

Im 25 mate work in an office can't f*****g stand it so I'm transferring to be a furniture installer with the same company just delivering and building flat pack furniture on sight now that won't be me till my dying days but it will get me out of the office for now I'm also joining the TA just to get a feel for that life as theres no minimal 4 year contract that way if I like it il join the regular army and become a recovery mechanic (remy) and work my way up to Air Force and eventually become a helicopter engineer then if I ever choose to leave I can work basically anywhere in the world as a helicopter engineer servicing and repairing il always have work as they take a lot of upkeep and the pay is crazy. But I struggle with normal jobs not to blow my own trumpet but I'm seriously clever but not in an academic sense if there is something I'm interested in I will learn it inside out and master the field plus I remember everything it's actually quite weird. What I'm saying mate is if your not happy or even content with your life then the only option and respectable thing to do is create a change. But that's something only you can do you have to want better for yourself. Age is never an issue it's only a problem if people persist it is, my ex's uncle became a chiropodist after years of uni at 52 and f**k knows why but he loves it.

We should never live to work we should all do something we enjoy and work to live !.

Hey guys, hope all is well, never expected to meet so many fine and upstanding individuals when i joined. super 8) ! A bit of car banter maybe, but its a real enriching experience to sign in and read posts like the above! (sorry to hijack your thread Ben!) Thankyou for the inspiration, gonna keep it tucked away for the mo, its all about my little girl right now and keeping the dollars rolling. Oh "red", are those Dotz Mugello's you are rolling on by the way? i worked with the guy who i bought my polo from, and he didnt think they would suit it. If they are Dotz, he was very wrong, either way they look very smart. Also considered the Cades eros too, funnily enough! I think we were all looking for something that replicated the original RX2 mesh pattern, but with a bit of extra "something" is it OEM+? In the meantime, best of luck with everything, being on the IBM payroll and helicopter servicing both sound like cool future pursuits, im gonna keep hammering that order picker, beeping the hell out of my horn  take care, talk soon! 8)

They are dots and what you just stated are the exact reason I bought them similar to rx2's but pack more of a punch. Yes mate keep at the job offspring tale priority but don't settle for a job get the one you want.
