Cotton panel one I hope? My tdi benefits quite nicely from having one, assuming you have a 1.9 tdi too guessing by your name :D

Used to have a k&n one. Went back to the paper filter. Didnt really notice too much of a difference to be honest. Do you think it helps a lot? Or notice any advantages.
Yeh own 1.9 tdi. With a few subtle mods.
Pd160, 130bhp remap. Gloss pillars, fitting today I hope. Gti trip and lights. Will post pics soon.
Think its a good idea to paint my grills gloss black? Lower ones with fogs and honeycombe grill?
seen some nice gloss black grills on other cars. Not sure if it will look good or tacky as hell.

Very similar to mine, get a topic up in members rides.

I didn't notice anything that probably wasn't placebo effect :P but anything that breathes better has to be good. Plus with the larger pd160 intake trumpet not being totally protected by the storm flap it gives peace of mind to have a cotton filter that can deal with getting a little bit damp when there's spray about.

As for the lower grilles, I've noticed some people that have colour coded them and they look pretty good!

Rear discs and pads, plus some rear caliper springs to give me a super nice handbrake, 4 clicks now. New PCV valve as old one had failed, runs so much nicer now, but still can't figure out my mysterious whirring noise...

Next to do is console bushes, drop link, oil+filter then it's MOT and Tax time!

Does it sound like it's coming from behind the air vent on the drivers side of the dashboard? Or in the door itself?

not sure, it's easy to remove the door panel so i will check this first, could be that it is coming from the dash also, it's coming from around that area, front of the door/dashboard...

I had an annoying noise on mine, it was like a creaking/clicking noise. I tracked it down to a bolt behind the dashboard that bolts into the front wing!
