Return of the black sheep :D

Post by Torquemadder »

I am not long home from a local Seat dealership, having just paid a deposit against a 2007 Polo GTi with 39k on the clock and a sweet set of BBS rims.

I won't get the car for a week as 2 of the rims are being sent for refurb, the car has a few very minor scratches which are going to be buffed out and

I've paid for a protective clearcoat to be applied. I've taken a few pics just to keep my mouth watering lol. Can't wait to take delivery.

I have been driving a 2001 BMW 330d for the last few years but in the past I had a Mk4 Golf GTi 180 which I had tuned to 256bhp.

I'm going to be a little bit more sensible with my new baby (well thats the intention. It may turn out different lol) but I would like around 200bhp.

First on the list is a new cruise control kit from Kufatec. I found with the BMW that it made a difference of 5-10 mpg for motorway driving and the Polo
throttle seems very sensitive

Old and new. So glad to be back to petrol power :D

Is this the kit you will be getting? http://www.kufatec.de/shop/en/Volkswage ... -w/out-MFD

Because they sell two different kits, one with multifunctional display and one without. I dont suppose you know what this display is? Also I take it even though it says 9n model it'll fit our 9n3's? :)

Great car by the way! Tis a good base model to start on! Also if you only want 200 bhp then all you need is a front mounted intercooler, induction kit and a good remap :) Thats what mine is at the moment.

9n-9n3 is the same stalks.
All GTI have MFD.
MFD is the buttons that enable you to see the MPG, outside temp, average MPH etc

Awesome, thanks for that. After I've installed it VW can set it up as I don't have anyone that can do it for me?
