TT/Lupo GTI Pedals

Post by MJS_93 »

Thinking of buying either Audi TT or Lupo GTI pedals but I've got some questions before I do.
Iv'e heard you need to buy a LHD Accelerator pedal but RHD Clutch and Brake pedals. Is this true or will a RHD Accelerator fit :?:.
Am I better off buying RHD Lupo GTI pedals :?:. They must fit a Polo 6N2 as they are from the same manufacture.

Audi TT pedals are the preffered route and are about 10 pounds a pedal

You need a LHD accelerator pedal in most cases. On some later polos, the RHD pedal will fit but this is rare.

Never make the assumption that lupo GTI parts fit the 6n2 polo - alot of parts are slightly different and dont fit at all.

Thanks for the advise, My polo is X reg and was registered on 1 September 2000; so I presume it is one of the earlier Polo 6n2's

Will I be able to order the TT pedals through a VW dealership or will I need to go to Audi themselves :?:.

I was just looking at my accelerator pedal and noticed it was smaller at the top. I have been told to fit the LHD accelerator cover but how will it fit as it has a rectangular look and doesn't get smaller at the top.

You remove the plastic cover when you fit

To fit the LHD pedal cover, you need to glue it on.

Use something like silicone, or a grab adhesive for example.

Sticks like sh*t is good or seriously strong adhesive - screwfix sell both.

I went to VW today but they said they couldn't order them as they are an Audi part number. Looks like I'll have to go to Audi themselves.

There was also a problem with their system so they couldn't order any parts. Apparently it has happened to a lot of VW dealership's up and down the country. I'll just go to Audi tomorrow or when ever I've go a bit of spare time.

Going to go Audi tomorrow but I was just wondering if I would have to buy two sets (LHD & RHD) so I will have a LHD accelerator pedal or are they sold separately. Stupid question I know but just curious.
