Wow! thanks Mandy! you are a bloomin star Have been getting a bit disillusioned with the car, all the problems hitting at once. There are so many kind and helpful peeps on here, if i sold up, then it would be a waste of the thought and effort everyone has gone to. Thanks again, all the best to you and yours.Fixed your pics for you lol

heyhey,
if you have problems with holograms and streaks when using meguiars stuff - try less wax and let it dry for some decent time...like 20-30 minutes, before starting too "polish" the car.
take care

Okay, so hoping the car is all sorted, after tyres, exhaust repair, new alternator, MOT (ABS sensor, suspension arm/bush) all within a couple of months!
The night after MOT and the service indicator flashes up , it hasnt had a service since '09 so back it went, anyway, fingers crossed now!

Yeah, things/problems can add up/happen more often when it hasn't been serviced for a while! Good luck and hope it's not too expensive!BBBaboonface wrote:Okay, so hoping the car is all sorted, after tyres, exhaust repair, new alternator, MOT (ABS sensor, suspension arm/bush) all within a couple of months!

Ta Aquavalver (cool name by the way!), if the little blighter hadnt near bankrupted me, it would have gone to JBS or the dealership, both about a 30 second drive away. As it is, the local garage did a fair job for a fair price, no coolant flush, but gearbox oil done.
menocal, the wheels are Beyern mesh 4, 15"/381mm 4x100 7J in silver, ET27, 57mm bore. They fit straight on no messing around with spacers etc. I got them from Rimstyle.com, the centre caps are a bit of a strange size 62mm overall with a 56mm? centre section for the original badges. I got some 55mm from Ebay and they do the job, just! oh, and thankyou ! Take it easy everyone, cheers!
Sums it up really! need to get a torque wrench an some skills!tt509 wrote:nice

Damn, wish i could find some steelies to rock over the winter, funds are tight now though ! Was thinkin white or off white/cream sort of colour might look well, just some silver or black, or even rusty as hell would be good! Looking in to it, it seems no one makes 45 profile winter tyres, and 14" wheels seem to be reccomended by some companies, so speedo error is unavoidable Just going to have to hope the wheel sealant and regular cleaning will preserve those mirror cut lips! Possibly a visit to the scrapyard might yield some restoration prospects...?

Aah pants! scrappys have only got 5 stud versions, and if i got converters it would cost more than brand new steels
Seen these though...
IMO, more handsome than g60's ! but theyre only 14's, even on a 55 profile tyre probably gonna look super dumb, without serious lows...
