Fitting lowering springs but keeping warranty

Post by Vdubber »

I have purchased some Eibach lowering springs for my 9N 8)

So I have started ringing round the VW dealers to see how much it would be for them to fit the springs, so not to invalidate the warranty on the other car parts.

All I seem to get back is "we only fit VW approved parts" or " it would void the warranty"?

Is it better going to VW approved garages than dealerships. If so does anyone know any round the West yorkshire area :?:

Thanks

You can, I believe get Eibach springs from the dealers and they will fit them (or is it Germany that do so). This then shouldn't invalidate your warranty but you might end up paying over the odds for the parts and labour. However as you already have springs then I guess you don't want to go down that route, I don't know any VW specialists in W.Yorks but I know of one in Chesterfield, JBS Autodesigns, just down the M1.

You can take the springs anywhere to be fitted but it will only invalidate the parts replaced...you understand?
