Bloody Boot Switch

Post by neilGTI »

Had my car washed yesterday and as I was driving home the boot open light popped up on the dash, it was very dim to start with, then progressively got brighter. The boot was of course closed.

I have had a look at the boot switch and it green in areas, showing water has gotten into it.

Are these switches easy to replace and does anyone have a part number and price for them ?

I have had to unplug the switch at the moment because it was not locking the car properly and the alarm has been going off every ten minutes or so as the car thinks the boot is open even though it closed.

Very easy to replace. The part number should be 333947561

All you have to do is drop the lock mechanism out via two bolts, and it just pulls out for replacement.
