Cupra r bushes for polo 9n

Post by r4vv »

I brought these bushes http://www.awesomegti.com/car/vw/polo9n ... one-bushes for the polo 9n.

I had them fitted about 2000 miles ago but i can still feel/hear alot of vibrations when in lower revs.
As soon as i go over 2K revs its fine.

Is this normal?

I know if i take it back to my mechanic he will kick off, because i brought my own parts for him to fit.

Thats the problem with the solid cupra bushes. The better alternative is poly bushes, they have a lifetime warranty too.

Yep that's normal, only other options are poly bushes like rover said, or go for the upgraded "X" style bushes, you still get a bit of movement in the suspension so no nasty vibrations

Does the vibration not go away after a while?

I need to sell the car, but if someone takes it for a test drive they will notice it is not right straight away.

Seriously, you should try to "talk over" that issue as most people should be thinking that a bit more noise is a small price to pay for sorting a VW problem.

Luckily, in the case of my wife's 9N 1.4SE, there is no issue at all just, just sharper turn-in and no need to replace these bushes every few years.

My Cupra bushes were fine! yes to start with there was some additional vibration but once they have worn it, it seems to have eased off!

Running on coilovers with these and arb's is neer going to be comfortable though
