Welcome, definitely get some pics up! :D

As far as mods go you can do whatever you like, many like to keep it OEM with subtle bits and others go all out. As for lowering it obviously depends how low you want to go and how much you can spend. There are cheaper options like lowering springs which are good for about a 30mm drop, then there's coilovers, air bags etc.

Have a look at the 9n3 Gti photo gallery at the top of this section for some inspiration

Cheers for the reply! yeah when I have the time to work out how to upload I will, I prefer the oem look just don't know where to get stuff from. Honey comb lower grills are a must but again don't know where to purchase them.

As far as mods go, im pritty new to this aswell so your better off talking to people who have been on here fo a while.
For the honeycomb grille i think they sell them on ebay or just type it in on GOOGLE surch there should be a fiew results pop up.

You only need 1 pair of 'IMG' codes, one on either end of the link, you used two on each end :P (photobucket automatically adds one set)

The car looks good, dune wheels would be sweet but are as rare as rocking horse poop. They do pop up for sale on here occasionally though.. Obviously get the wheels you want before you lower it, especially 17s (like the dune wheels) because some people have problems with scrubbing when lowering on 17s :)

Any engine mods on it?

Oh ok I got it hah. I found that out by looking for a set I'm going to ring vw and see if they will do a direct quote and pay over the odds a bit. How low do people go on 17s and does it make it uncomfortable? Also is a 312 tt and vented rear conversion all that's its cracked up to be? I would of thought the travel on the brake pedal will increase due to the standard master cylinder? Sorry for all questions lol

Let us know what the VW price is for the Dune wheels, I'm expecting to hear a four digit number without tyres

Rather than getting it remapped again I would get it on the dyno first and see what power it's got. Somewhere between 190-210bhp I would have thought for a stage 1.

At the height you're at now it looks as if you may not need to lower it with 17's as they'll fill the arches nicely, but it's up to you. :D
