As far as I know, the washer jets are heated whenever the ignition is on.

The water will always be icy cold. Heated merely means they will defrost if frozen when the car is running.

Are you talking about the headlight washers? If so, these are not heated at all.

Hi mate
the headlight washer are not heated as is the water bottle itself and the screen washer jets are "intelligent" im guessing linked to the outside temp display. also would say you have to give it a minute or two after start up to unfreeze the jets. the other thing sometimes with use in very cold temps the headlight washer arms will stay out in a frozen state, but just leave it the ecu knows its out and when warm enough will retract on its own! hope this helps
cheers trigg

I dont know how to dumb it down anymore. If washer is likely to be frozen don't use it. U may break it as they are fragile. Sorry "YOU"
