a nice compromise between sportiness and sensibility
Cheers, I can't help but feel it's too far into the 'sensibility' category though!
I drove past a car dealer near me today which had this in the showroom -

Now I keep thinking of changing it!
Stick with the GTD- It really is a great compromise imo.
I tried to rationalise it, but I've failed.
Picking it up next week
Hopefully I'll keep this one a bit longer

Thanks
No plans, other than fitting a towbar and getting proper iPod connectivity in instead of just the aux in socket.
Might powder coat the anthracite bits of the wheels in silver. Other than that it will be completely standard

Sounds good, it'll be probably be the best car on the road used to tow stuff! You should get an orange caravan
And there's no real need to tweak a lots they're great cars as standard. Hope you enjoy it

Luckily I won't need to tow stuff often, I have a track day only Honda CBR600RR though so a few times a month I'll tow that. I don't do caravans!

It was a stupid move by me to think I could be sensible and enjoy a diesel!

Lost a little bit but not too much. Probably not over £1k. Expensive mistake to make, but I'll use it as a reminder never to buy a diesel again!

S-tronic. It's got most options on it but the only one I wish it had was sports seats. They're about £2.5k to retrofit
so will just stick with the standard ones for now!

Yeah one of the reasons I don't like the Golf is because it's manual. I love paddleshift gearboxes, I can't go back now!
Fuel bills hopefully shouldn't be too bad, from what I've been reading anywhere from 27-33mpg average, I can live with that
