Re: Polo gti rear mudflaps!
That's odd. What rear valance do you have? the GTi one is slightly different to the stock one in that it has a lip across it, I wouldn't have thought that it would mean the mudflaps wouldn't fit.
Obviously if you've got a bluemotion or votex rear kit then it most likely won't fit.
Let's see a picture of you offering the mudflap up.

Re: Polo gti rear mudflaps!
ill get a pic up as soon as i can...(when the weathers good lol) ....i tried it when i bought the gti spoiler and thought id see if the mudflaps roughly fit but they would...i guess i can see that the gti spoiler is slightly bigger in height than the standard?Ben90 wrote:That's odd. Re: Polo gti rear mudflaps!
Hi I have a gti rear valance on my 9n polo and I have used stock standard mudflaps. The front ones will also fit with the gti side skirts fitted albeit a bit off a struggle to get them on however they do fit. Hope this helps. You will need to remove the small edge fitment that you may have fitted because of the car being a gti on the back to get the rears to fit properly

Re: Polo gti rear mudflaps!
Yeh on the rear there is a bit of plastic on the outer edge of the bumper that allows the car to be legal with the size of the wheels tyres etc protruding the body they are about 4 maybe 5 inch in length remove that and the mudflaps will go on I have removed mine and put aside for safe keeping. You will need to make 1 drill hole for each side for the mudflaps to be secure a 3 mm drill bit is big enough this is the inner fixing hole on the mudflap which you will see when you look at them. The rest off will use the existing screws that are already holding the inner wheel arch cover and bumper together.

Re: Polo gti rear mudflaps!
If you look at the rear wheelarch you'll see a small plastic 'fin' type thing on the furthest point back. This is what your mudflap is fouling on as they overlap by about an inch. You can either cut the mudflap to fit around it or you can just take it off and fit the mudflap in it's place. They use the same mounting holes.
Re: Polo gti rear mudflaps!
Exactly as blazeguarder has put you really can't miss them if you are local to Glasgow I will fit them for you plus supply the two additional screws you will need.
