Car dies after start please HELP!!..

Post by sonne »

Ok the other day my car would start up but after 2 second would die even if pressed accelerator i noticed oil was leaking between the engine head and the main part of the engine and was covering a plug.. i pulled the plug out and cleaned the oil off then i replugged it and it worked and worked all day yesterday but now when it's not starting i tried cleaning the plug again and i emptied some oil earlier to lower the amount but doesn't seem to have helped.. I don't know what it could be...

The oil on the plugs will likely be an overfill or the rocker cover gasket gone. I woul replace the plugs which Gould sort it out for a while and then do the rocker cover gasket.

For the price of sparks I'd do them. When my rocker cover was leaking the oil had obviously put the plugs under a lot of pressure and pushed te gap out massively.

Its the temparature sensor that is the problem, it got covered in oil but i cleaned it off, is there not a temp fix to get it working??

Oh I thought when you said plug you meant spark plug. With the temp sensors they're a pretty integral part to the ecu running. I'm not too sure though really. Would still put it down to a rocker cover gasket for te leak though.
