Exhaust Removal help

Hello I am wondering how you remove the exhaust (back box section). I removed all fixings so it was totally free. But I could not get it out from the car it kept getting stuck. I am wondering how the rest of you got it out , Or if there is a guide on how to do it thanks. I do not want to cut it as intend to reuse it. Thanks for help.

You have two options.

Cut it as most of us have done or you have to drop,the axle to get it off whole.

I believe from the factory they are one piece,but replacements are two piece,you can get the joining piece from the VW Parts dept.....get the hacksaw out..
