Polo 9N3 Coilovers

Post by DR3W5_P0l0 »

Hi all,

I have a 2007 Polo 9N3 which as you can see from the image I have started to make some mods to. You may also notice the huge wheel gap which is rather unsightly. To fix this i'm planning to get hold of some coilovers, however I am on a rather low budget as i'm a student (I'm willing to spend around £275 maximum). My problem here is that the car already has a terrible ride due to the low profile tires, so i'm wondering if there are any coilover sets in particular with a decent ride? I've been looking at FK Street Coilovers, anyone got anything to say about these?

Thanks :)

Cheap coilovers will just make your ride even worse.

+1
Ive got the FK Highsport coilovers, which i think are the next ones up from the street coils, and i find the ride is terrible with them, really crashy and catches every little bump!
But if you want a low car youve got to put up with it  You get what you pay for really

Youll regret buying cheap coilovers.

Buy the best you can afford and dont run stupidly low and you should maintain some comfort.

i dont think thats always the case....

i had £450 weitec coilovers on mine...and the ride was harsher on them than on the £200 jom's...

it all depends on personal taste really..

now im on 50mm springs...id rather have my arse dragged on the road...springs on shocks are bad bad bad!!!

My weitecs are fine they were £450 and are a decent kit if you want some lows without changing the ride to much, they ride better than my standard shocks after 60k did thats for sure.

Can only imagine what its like on 50mm springs lol on the bumpstops?
