Does anyone know what chip is needed for 6n2's as I believe there are different types. Am I right in thinking it is an ID44 chip
Also does anyone know if you can get replacement keys made without the 'key tag' which states the key number

Hickeys.co.uk can supply the key with a blank immo chip
Audi dealers can cut the keys based on your original and VW can program them

Thanks, but it's the least of my problems at the moment as the ABS light comes on intermittently. I scanned it with VCDS Light and it has come up with the following.alexperkins wrote:Hickeys.co.uk can supply the key with a blank immo chip

1 Fault Found:
01276 - ABS Hydraulic Pump (V64)
16-10 - Signal Outside Specifications - Intermittent
Have you got any ideas what it could be

Re: Immobiliser Chips
That's the common abs pump solder joint failure
You have to remove the abs control module from the abs unit, split it and solder it back up, and seal it again.
Where are you based? I did one the other day and would happily do another if you weren't too far for beer money

I'm going to see how things go with it. It's not major at the moment and too be honest I have got that much money at the moment. Do you think changing the fuses might help

Changing fuses won't help
One the solder joints inside the control module go the only option is to repair it.
