Polo 1.4s spares or repair

Guys I hope this doesn't break any forum rules, but I couldn't see anything about minimum post to place a forsale thread.


Basically I'm selling my GFs polo, it recently suffered from the dreaded gearbox issues, now I've done a gearbox on my nieces polo, but that was because it was a newer car than this, and I just can't justify the time of effort to fix the mrs one as its only like a 1k car when fixed. Anyway here's more details about it.

I will state now that she still drives but for how long I don't know, the gearbox makes a grinding noise when accelerating or lifting off, but is a lot noisier in 5th gear.
Before these issues she ran faultless and has good tyres, brakes and suspension. She also just had a brand new bumper spare yes and fitted due to a car bumping into the back of her (don't ask why they bothered fixing it) lol

To be honest I've no idea on its current value but I do know what some crappy scrapers have offered and it ranged from a joke £80 to £200 which I think is far to low.

So I'm happy for people's honest opinions and offers. I will get some pics up in a bit, and if anyone wants anything specific then let me know

I mention about a bumper. It's supposed to say- the car has recently had the rear bumper fully sprayed, so it looks brand new.
