What oil

I've been looking online and In my manual and I can't seem to find what oil to go in my 9n3 gti??
Any help?

i personally use castrol edge 0w40 or 5w40.

Cheers, what oil do vw say it should have? And can I ask why you use that oil?

as long as vw502 oil it will be fine.

some use 5w30 but i feel this is likely to be too thin on a turbo motor particularly come summer temps and heavy use.

as above really, i prefer the 5w40 as it doesnt thin out so much at higher temps.
