Re: Seat sport intercooler
Heard lots of good things about the flow of a seat sport intercooler.
And i would say the 2" piping on the forge kit is to restrictive for a K04 Setup.

Re: Seat sport intercooler
i run seat sport IC.
and some seat guys i know have done flow tests of the seat IC VS stock and some other brands.
seat came out on top and it is capable to flow up to 350Hp.
but do not use the piping from seat, the intake side i believe it was, is flattend.
and in plastic also.
so it will mess up the "perfect flow" you want to have
also seen other tests wich had the Forge one in it.... sad to say the least.
it's good for running stock, maybe a mild chiptune in it but thats it.
it's to goddamn restrictive still and you will still get heatsoak if you get to stage II.
so let alone if you go K04

Re: Seat sport intercooler
We did an experimental Polo dyno day at APR headquarters in Australia last year on there new hub dyno. We put about 8 Polo's on back to back from stock to satge one to stage 2 then stage 3. We specifically monitored intake temps and graphed them up for comparison and found out of all the FMIC the Forge has the best cooling properties out of the lot. You would never get one to heatsoak. However it had the greatest pressure drop and therefore mad less power. We tried the Forge, APR, Seat and ebay coolers on the day.
Here is my dyno graph with the only difference being the Forge FMIC swapped for the SEAT with forge piping kit;
