6n2 GTI headlight issue

hi ,peeps my head light has stoped working i took the light out and the bulb to find the bulb has a small burn/melted bit round the plastic obv's i need a new 1 :\ but just wounderd if anybody eles has had same prob and could tell me what caused it

hi buddy sold the 6n2 now but i do no how to get the head lights out its a bit of a pain like here gos
3 screws either side in the wheel archs you carnt miss then
2 screws on the top were the grill is
then a case of pull here pull there and the bumper should drop the 2 screws on the top of the light
and the one underneath the light hence why the bumper has to be dropped
