Polo Mark IV Facelift Questions and Help please

I've just bought a 2005 1.4 s tdi (without the operating booklet) and have a few questions I'm hoping I can get some help here

1) First thing is regarding the key operated central locking. Using the key to unlock the driver's door I note that all 4 doors, hatch and fuel flap unlock. I'm wondering if it's at all possible just to be able to unlock the driver's door, passenger door , hatch and fuel flap only by using the driver's door ? (meaning the 2 back doors remain locked)

2) Front passenger side electric window. When I operate this window with the switches on the passenger side, the window works fine. If I use the switch on the driver's side, the passenger window will come down and it will not rise at all.

3) Door mirrors. Can the door mirrors be manual folded ? I don't want to attempt folding them just in case they break.

This is my very first post and I'm hoping to search the site more thoroughly during the next few days.

1) No, the choice has always been with VAG, "all openings" or "driver's door only" - ie if selective opening option is enabled, first press = driver's door only, if quickly followed by a second press converts that to all openings unlocked.

2) sounds like a faulty switch - maybe

3) they do fold quite easily, just grab them and fold them back, if they are stiff, then maybe "wash" at the swivel point with WD40. I've found the Polo 9N mirrors to start sticking quite quickly with age - car is currently 11 years old, my Passat B5 which is almost 13 years old, has never suffered from mirrors getting stiff to fold.

Looking at your other post, being a 9N3 this is a Mk7!

Had a chat today with a vw salesman who had a good look at my car. He pointed out that this car is a VW mark 4 facelift model and is officially a Polo Mark IV Facelift (Typ 9N3, 2005–2009)
He also pointed me in the direction of Wikipedia for some help and I found the following -
In 2005, the Mark IV was face-lifted with new Volkswagen Passat-style one piece headlights and tail lights, and a different hatch. This facelifted model is officially known as the Mark IV Phase II[3] or Typ 9N3, and sometimes erroneously to as the Mark IVF or "Mark 7". Designed by Walter de'Silva, in the UK, the Mark IVF is available in seven different trim levels, ranging from the basic Polo E model to the Polo GTI. But for the purposes of forum talk they are referred to as below for simplicity and by most enthusiasts. Vw just chose a more complex approach

Forum = vw = vw/forum chassis identifier = year of manufacture

Mk1 = -1986
Mk2 = 1986-1989
Mk3 = mk2f = 1990-1994
Mk4 = mk3 = 6N = 1994-1999
Mk5 = mk3f = 6N2 = 1999-2002
Mk6 = mk4 = 9N = 2002-2005
Mk7 = mk4f = 9N3 = 2005-2009
Mk8 = mk5 = 6R = 2009-

Correct. Us enthusiasts commonly refer to yours as a mk7 or 9N3 polo - other forums are the same.
