Cambelt Kit

Post by Joe07 »

Hi

Does anyone happen to know the price of a genuine cambelt kit? Something to do on Saturday I reckon!

Thanks

If I remember rightly for a cam belt, tensioners and a water pump it was nearing £190 genuine TPS bits but that was a year and a bit ago.

alright buddy, i paid around £156inc VAT for a new water pump, and timing kit which includes two belts and all new pulleys. That price was a garage price though so i'm guessing the general public price would be a little more. Luckily for me, i have a good friend who's a mechanic and allows me to use their Garage account to purchase parts.

Sorted, coming together with all service bits and front discs and pads. All from TPS through work.

While I'm here, do you have torque settings for brake calipers/carriers and spark plugs??

Thanks

No more than 20nm

Again, just tight

The sump is alloy so it's important not to over tighten it.

Second that, dont over tighten the sump plug.

Also, when i said £156, that did include the water pump too, loool.

£130, good going that
