Hi Guys,

Just wanted to start my own thread and hopefully start to do some small mods to my car.

I'm 17 and just passed my driving test and have bought this 2010 Polo 1.2 S.

Here's a picture of the car when we picked it up and am going to shortly start to do some mods. Seen a few small things on here already that I'd like to try.

An ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jac

I can't see the picture but welcome :) I'm 17, just about to turn 18 and I drive a 1.2 TDI. I'm sure you won't be disappointed by your polo!

I feel old now... I'm 34 and have only just ordered my first Polo 6R... It'll be my third Polo. (The other two have been 6N2 GTI's)

But welcome aboard. Looks nice. I ordered mine in white and only 2 doors too. (But a little bigger engine ;) )

Haha... 34's not old, your the right side of 40! And what engine is in yours? Hope you like it just as much as i like mine! White is the best colour, although it does take a lot of cleaning!!!

Thanks mate, i'm not entirely sure yet, but got to start small and save some money as i'm only 17. But hopefully; alloys, grille, roof wrap, maybe leather front seats, bit of chrome inside on the knobs, maybe a bit lower and hoepfully private and pressed plates! However, any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

I did think about that originally! It is still an option, however I would love to get some alloys on it if I can afford to and then drop it! Btw had a long look at your thread and your car is amazing!

I'm a bit nervous about dropping the car as the type of roads i drive on everyday! not really sure how it will deal with them?!

But yeah I can see what you mean by dropping the car on steelies first to get used to driving it! Good idea!!

I've got the same concern about dropping it, my area has loads of speed bumps but I'm guessing if I go slow it'll be fine. Ill keep you updated anyway :) have you had any quotes for fitting?

I'm the same, it's putting me off because I don't want to ruin it. Plus the fact that my insurance doubles with coilovers so I think i'll go with 50mm springs which are only an extra £50 - just a tip from a fellow young driver :)
