New Blue GT on order

Post by Norbreck21a »

Well after discussing with the wife for a few weeks now, last night I ordered her new car to replace her current 2011 Polo 3 door SEL DSg.

It's a Blue GT 3 door in blue metallic with the DSG box. Extras include

Climate Control
Convenience pack
Multi function steering wheel
Winter pack
Bi Xenon headlights
Carpet mats
Air bag deactivation.

Got it at £2,850 off list with free 3 years servicing, free Gap, free smart repair insurance, 1 years free insurance and free cherished plate transfer.

And the clincher, they agreed (again FOC) to fit the front foglights back in that VW UK seeming want you to loose when ordering Xenons in the UK.

Oh, yes, ordered my new Golf Mk7 GTD DSG as well

Nice to see you sticking with VAG, you gonna stick the RCD510 in there once it arrives?

No, the RCD510 will be going back into the Scirocco for when its traded in when the Golf arrives, and the RCD310 in the polo will be put back in. However my Rocco has an RNS-510 in it so that will be swapped into the Blue GT when it arrives.

Very jealous... Sounds like a perfect spec, although I'd go for a 5-door with a manual. I'm surprised they did such a good deal, but I guess if you're buying a new GTD too then they might be persuaded to drop the price a bit! :D

To be honest a £1000 of the discount was directly from VW finance for a promotion they are running at the moment.

I thought that was only for the 'regular' Polos, not the Bluemotion, BlueGT or GTI. Or was that just the insurance?

Went a bit crazy as I am planning to keep for 4 years at least, so:

GTD 5 Door
DSG transmission
Pure White
Discover Nav Pro
Keyless entry and start
Adaptive chassis control (ACC)
Park Assist
Lane Assist
High beam assist
Winter Pack
Rear view camera
Dynaudio sound package

Like I said, I went a bit mad with the options (but you only live once and I got an absolutely cracking deal on the Golf and the PX on the Rocco). Only options not specified we're -Leather (prefer the Jacara cloth and at £1,675.00 not worth it in my opinion). Panoramic sunroof (£900 - not my thing), 19" Alloys (£965 plus i prefer the 18" ones it comes with, plus it will be more comfortable, quieter and cheaper to replace tyres )

Well you did ask ! :D
