I have gained a nice deep backfire today, I think caused as a result of gaining air after a spirited drive down some country roads. my exhaust seemed to do a loud clunk underneath the car (milltek cat back non-res) since then I get a loud pop at just under 3k in 2nd and 3rd when changing under load.
Can the back fire damage anything to be fair it sounds ace but i dont want it damaging anything?
There is a small leak i can see on the echaust where the milly sleeve fits onto the cat if that could cause it?

Re: Backfire 9n3 GTI
Sorted now Luke was the gap in the reducer sleeve and a combination of heat. I've tightened and sealed it up and it's all spot on!
Cheers hope you get your manifold sorted
