Re: New Member. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
Ok, I got it wrong, my English is poor, I learned in school a long time and often make mistakes. I hope you excuse me.
The 90 hp tsi has five gears unlike the 105 hp six gears as you have, but actual tests there is little difference in power between the two. The 105 hp is faster but usually does not drive in that range.
I'm with you, young and not so young in UK would appreciate to buy 90 hp 119 g by the tax savings. Practically not much difference between an engine and other. The same commented on the Italian forum, there either sell the 90 hp 119 gr.

Re: New Member. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
cicli, your English is far better than my Spanish !!
Personally, I would rather see a 200+ps "R Line" car and to hell with the emissions, but I guess as this Polo is so good looking and refined compared to the older generation of Polo's (no offence to owners - I have owned two MK2's myself !), that might start stealing sales away from the Golf GTI, etc.
Anyway, back on track, I think your car looks great, possibly could do with lowering (as they all do !).
I also love all your mods and attention to detail and thanks for all the photos and descriptions, very informative.

Re: New Member. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
I thought lowering, 18 " wheels and others but have tightened laws on modifications in Spain and practically only possible to modify the vehicle with oem parts to pass the mandatory technical inspections successfully.
Slowly will study a reduction of the damping but permitted by law and effective working. True, a little lower is nicer, but for now not a priority.
Thank you for your comments and acceptance, I learn a lot.

Thanks Martin-GTI-DK, the voltmeter gives us information about the voltage and alternator load variation.

I relocated the fuses of some mod I did. They were on the left side and I have put in the fuse box.
To remove the fuse box:
http://volkswagen.workshop-manuals.com/ ... hp?id=1446
Move the pink inner part to insert the pins.
Once inserted the pins move the inner pink to secure the pin.
Original fuse box.
Images of the final result.

New Mod
As I said it installed in the Golf R as standard.
First the link to buy:
http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product ... 08378.html
edited:
Now Available chromed mirrors switch on aliexpress to purchase easily. When I did the tutorial to change the knob was not available.
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/OEM-Brus ... 25881.html
Instructions for installing:
I have damaged two trim that I have to buy at the dealership.
If you do not want to damage the trim you can remove the door panel and uninstall from inside.
Images of the final result.
At the end of the post instructions and pictures of the installation of the switch knob mirrors.
Installation of the switch knob mirrors:
It is mandatory to change the knob and shaft. Use the longest pier that goes on the shaft for proper installation.
If you do not do as described mirrors switch will not work.
Use a cloth to avoid damaging the knob.
The same with the original switch.
Everything works correctly.

Thanks Mart!n-GTI-DK and vc-10 for your comments.
The most difficult thing is to get the knob avoiding damage to other parts. It is very tightly clenched.

New Mod:
Light in glove box oem. At the end of the post an informative video.
Installing light in the glove box. Oem.
Vw parts.
A picture to know what the size.
How does it work.
Mounting the lamp in the glove compartment.
After all calculations accurate (Phi), mark with a pencil and a compass.
The solution for those who want to do this installation in the same way.
Before cutting to ensure proper operation of the lamp overlaid.
Safety distance to prevent breakages by blows to close the glove, vibrations, etc.
Electric wiring.
Positive. Fused always.
Negative. Ground.
This wiring length is good for easy disassembly and reassembly of the glove. It is not necessary to note the polarity.
I am waiting to receive an LED light 80 lumens 1 watt. The standard light bulb is poor.
Edit: 02/07/13
Arrived festoon leds ....

The lighting is perfect:
Video.
Low quality.

Re: New Member. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
This is brilliant thanks, for the glovebox guide! Rest of the thread and car looks great, similar to what I'm doing OEM+, except I'm just too lazy to get a thread up lol. When wiring the positive do I put an dual fuse holder where the fuse indicated is?

Now that is really, really nice. A very cool set of OEM mods there. Kudos to you.
Might be stealing a few of your idea when we take delivery of the wife's Blue GT.
