Re: My Polo GTI Build Thread **Pic Heavy**
Any news mate
Re: My Polo GTI Build Thread **Pic Heavy**
Yep sorry forgot to update.
Got the car back and loved every second of driving it, was on the arse end of a new carrera 4s who the let me lead and I was pulling on him. Waited at the traffic lights for him to say "what the f**k is in that"
. Really makes me realise how much I want a go pro camera lol.
However the turbo failed (I believe) on it last weekend, will be taking a look at it this weekend if it is the turbo it will going back under warranty.
But here's some more pictures from the company tht did the work

What makes you believe the turbo has failed?
What was the power outcome?
Wish you all the best and don't give up. These things happen to test us.

Cheers mate,
No boost at all and couldn't hear the turbo spooling.
However I found the source of the problem to be the actuator rod, the nut had came off the end of it so the waste gate linkage slipped off and aloud the waste gate to stay open basically. But I must admit the turbo is so smooth running as I couldn't hear it at all and thought it had seized **face palm**
As the car was live mapped I don't have a bhp figure quite yet but it will be going on the rollers ASAP. Also I asked for it to be mapped down a bit as I don't fancy throwing a conrod just yet, so it won't be at its full potential.
Ooh this car is pushing my patience but I love it when she's running. Not quite as much as your car pushes you yet though lol.

And as I was depressed about the car I went shopping on ebay and got my self this
Jap spec rear bumper:

And a picture of one fitted, not to everyone's taste but I like them
.
Now I've just got to get a bluemotion front lip and skirts and she will be going in for a full respray
