GTi Xenon Lights In Non Gti

hi everyone,

i am wondering if anyone has installed the xenon light with DRL LEDs into a non gti polo 6R. if so, could you shed a light on how to do so please?

For it to be legal it's quite involved for it to be legal, as they include headlamp washers and auto-levelling. Any HID kit without these is illegal (no matter what the supplier may say!). It is possible though, I think Kufatec might do the parts?

your looking at well over a grand for fully road legal!!
think you need:
Bi-xenon headlights (+all supporting hardware)
Headlight washers
Sensor top of rear suspension
Sensor top of windscreen
wiring bits and bobs


Long story short, more hassle than its worth!

Fitted xenons to my 1.8T Golf without the washers, etc and never had a problem at MOT.

To fit them you will need the lights (obviously) and a pair of ballasts to get them going. You may need to adapt the wiring for the ballasts. But as already said, it costs a fortune, for not a lot of gain TBH.

what do you suppose i should do ? sell the lights on ? or go ahead and fit them without auto levelling and washer jets ?
the drl and xenons look great but spending possibly over a 1k seens steep
