Picking up a candy white 6r gti today

Hi just a quick one im picking a brand new polo gti tonight how do i go about running the engine in drive it normaly or keep under a certain rev range etc any help would be great

Congratulations & good luck.

Running in advice seems to vary from treat it with kid gloves to rag it immediately. Certainly I'd let the engine temp get to 90 before going above 3,000 but I'd recommend that whatever the age of the engine.
