245mm rear discs

Hi Guys, those of you who have fitted 245mm vented rear discs to their 9N3 GTI's have you experienced the fact that the pad does not sweep to the edge of the disc, thus leaving a small area around the edge of the disc to rust. This does not happen on TTs ect. Any thoughts?

Do u mean the 256mm rear disc's? cause I think I kinda know what u mean but its hard to tell without and pics. also did the calipers u used come off of a 4wd car? as I know u need to use a spacer to move the caliper carrier slightly if fitted to a 2wd car.

Yes 256mm rears. The calipers are from a 4 motion and the carriers are Edition 30. They work fine but the pad does not sweep to the outer edge of the disc. At the last MOT I had an advisory on rusty outer edge to the disc. They are not old either.
