Hi folks my name is Dave, I'm brand new on here and need a little help with some wheel fitments.... Sorry if this question has been asked before, but I've not had the chance to look through previous posts!
So.. I'm the proud owner of a red polo Gti 6r, and am looking to add a nice set of wheels and lower the car for that aggressive look... However, the wheels I want only come in the following size, and I'm not sure if they will fit without causing a major headache!!! The wheels are 3DSM 0.01 (black), come in the correct 5x100 pcd, but are 8.5x18 with an offset of 35... (215/35/18 rubber) I know x18's & 35 offset go on no bother, but will that extra half inch be too much?? Bearing in mind I'm looking to lower the car 35front/45rear.
If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd greatly appreciate it!

i fitted 17 x 8.25 offset 25 with 215/40/17 and it rubbed like hell!!
there is another forum about and a guy with a grey polo fitted 18x8 with 215/35 and scrubs a little with his 25/40 h&r springs not sure what offset the wheels are though....
