Re: MDI 'folder contains no media files'
What adapter are you using to connect the 5 up to the MDI kit?
It could be the file format, as some lossless songs have issues showing up.

MDI 'folder contains no media files'
Using the apple connector and a genuine 30 pin to lightning connector

Re: MDI 'folder contains no media files'
I had problems using that adapter
After i switched to the cable one (which is better designed for car systems), it worked fine

Apparently it processes things differently but this may have been coincidental lol

Re: MDI 'folder contains no media files'
When Apple changed the design of the connector, they changed it from being a logical, simple, system where the the cable is, you know, a cable, to having a small chip in it to make sure that you pay £25 for a 'genuine' Apple one, rather than £1 for one off eBay. Genius.

I did pay £25 for a genuine apple one? Now I've just paid £30 for another genuine piece of the apple, in hope that my problem is down to the choice of connector.

And I'm pretty sure that's not the reason they changed it. It's smaller, it's reversible, and it opens up a lot more avenues in terms of what product they can bring to the market with such a small interface.
Any way my post isn't about getting at apple...

Agreed - it was a step from analog to digital. Granted they are overpriced, but they work, and work well.
Let us know if that cable works.
