Re: What's everyones MPG these days?
I used to average around 30MPG in my old GTI although it was capable of alot better than that on a long run
It was a GTI though so the MPG didn't really come into it
My 6N2 1.4 TDI was pulling around 82MPG when I drove it to Kent & back last year, I got from North Wales to Maidstone using just quater of a tank![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

I've never had below 42 MPG in my GTI, best I've got is 48. I always use V-power and it does make a big difference in my GTI

Re: What's everyones MPG these days?
I get on average 40mpg.
I use the 99 octane fuel and a lot of my driving is 5th gear cruising on motorway

Re: What's everyones MPG these days?
On a motorway run it can manage about 40-44mpg, if I drive it like a nun around town then it's bearable at around 28-32mpg but if I drive it like I stole it the fuel gauge goes down quicker than a Thai hooker.
The V-power nitro fuel does make it feel a lot more responsive & seems to get better mpg imo.

I filled mine up this morning after a 'normal' couple of weeks commuting. It worked out at 42mpg. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Re: What's everyones MPG these days?
Once I've changed my 5th gear i'll report back any difference!
Re: What's everyones MPG these days?
No idea! I don't do anything special lol. I don't by any means drive my GTi carefully. I do lots of long motorway trips, rarely do less than 20 miles jouneys and I do an oil change 6000 miles or so. I guess that I must have a slightly unique polojoe2612 wrote:How on earth did you get 48 ?!
