POLO 6R ESP Off plus other coding bits!

Post by RayC »

Hi All

I'm new on here as i usually use VW Golfs for testing but have now bought a Polo for the smaller tyre sizes, i could do with a simple way of defeating the ESP on a 2009/2010 polo 1.4 SE, can anyone please advise?

My golf was a simple matter of recoding to the two staged ESP using this website http://carsareweapons.com/golfR.html but i'm told this is not possible with the polo, has anyone tried disabling the steer angle sensor? here is a link to what some of the Golf guys are doing http://www.golfmk6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41807

Also does anyone know if you can code the brake lights to flash as per the Golf http://golfmk6.com/forums/showpost.php? ... stcount=21

sorry for all the questions, before anyone mentions the related doom/ESP off i need it to test the car fully on a closed track, here is my website www.treadltd.co.uk and i work with many tyre and car manufacturers so its not for shopping centre pratting about!

Thanks

If you really wanted to, you could always disconnect an abs sensor or force a fault using vcds onto the abs unit , stays off then ;)

I've been wondering how to recode it as well though.

HI
I dont recommend disconnectng a sensor as this will cause the system to default to back up ABS if you remove the fuse you loose the brake biasng as ABS cars do not have limiting valves like old cars its done by the electronics, also i use all 4 wheel speeds sent over can during my tests so i need the wheel sensors working

Thanks
